“Ah can understand that,” She admitted, remembering the news broadcasts she’d seen of the Chitauri invasion. “Oh, they’ve been no bother, sugar, don’t worry.” She took the hand he offered with her own gloved one, and shook it. “Ah’m just a relic of the time when SHIELD’d turn up every now an’ again t’ tell us off, then disappear into the shadows again.” 

Coulson looks at her, weighs up his odds, goes with the majority.

“Well, I would never do such a thing. I have no ill will toward special people, bit of an affection really since I work so closely with some of them. And I’m on good terms with Xavier, or at least I like to think so. I’m who he tends to talk to if he has the need to speak to someone in the Organization.”  He smiles just a touch. “And I’ll speak to dispatch anyway, as clearly there have been wires crossed.”
